Save Your Fairgrounds
Calling all communities. We need your help.
Step up to save the California’s fairgrounds.
A few short months ago, fairgrounds across the state were in the planning stages for their largest hosted event, the annual fair.
Now, these same fairgrounds face potential closure without the emergency funding they desperately need to survive this crisis. From creating cherished family memories and generating revenue, jobs and tax dollars, to serving as an essential evacuation site during natural disasters, losing our fairgrounds would leave a giant void in communities large and small across California.
How can this happen?
Fairgrounds are self-funded, meaning they rely on event revenues to operate. With the postponement or cancellation of all events over the past 3+ months including the annual fairs, revenue streams have been severely depleted. Without relief aid from the State of California to get through this rough patch, fairgrounds throughout the state will potentially close their doors.
